My name is Desmond Davidson and I hail from the Island of Jamaica. I have been a professional Keyboard Player with over 25 years’ experience. I have had the privilege of meeting Chello a little over 11 years ago, and we both have worked on various projects together during that time. When Chello asked me to be a part of this project, without hesitation I dropped everything else and said YES!!! Chello’s musical talent and his vast repertoire have greatly surpassed any other singer I have performed with, and he always has the crowd asking for more. Chello delivers what the crowd wants at every one of his performances, and I can bravely say that he will continue to do so. (A little about me). My father was a Sax and Bass player, so music has been in my blood since conception. Over the years, I have been privileged to share stage with various popular artist (s) like; UB40, Ziggy, Damien and Steven Marley, Vesta Williams, Phil Perry…just to name a few. I have performed at various national and international venues. Some of my musical inspirations are; Brian McKnight, Michael Jackson, Anita Baker, Kenneth (Babyface) Edmonds, the group 4Play and Bob Marley. My musical genres are, but not limited to Top 40s, New and Old school R&B, Smooth Jazz, Jazz standards, Various Caribbean, and Gospel. My gears: I own multiple gears from the 80s-current, and my favorites are; the Yamaha Motif series, the Korg Kronos X series and the Roland G series…and yes, I also have the legendary Yamaha DX7…What I’m listening to right now…”Another You” by Brian McKnight….Watch out world, HERE COMES CHELLO!!!
